Abba! Father!
“For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’” — Romans 8:15
Abba is an intimate Aramaic term—tender, familial, and full of trust. It is the word of children who know they are safe.
Jesus used that word in His own prayers, revealing a relationship with God that was tender, safe, and deeply personal.
To say Abba is to acknowledge that God is near. It is to approach Him without pretense, without fear, and without performance.
Spiritual Invitation
Let your prayers today be simple, honest, and unguarded. Approach God as a loving Father who knows your voice, your needs, and your heart. Let Abba heal the broken places in your life. Remember you are loved.
