Work Study: Shalom
WORD STUDY: SHALOM
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on You.” — Isaiah 26:3
Shalom is one of the richest words in the Hebrew language. It is often translated “peace,” but its meaning stretches far beyond calmness or the absence of conflict.
Shalom speaks of wholeness, harmony, restoration, flourishing—everything in its right place, everything held together by God’s sustaining presence.
It is the peace Jesus promised, the peace that guards hearts and minds, the peace that does not depend on circumstances. It is the peace that rebuilds what is broken and restores what is weary.
Spiritual Invitation
Seek Shalom today—not as something to chase, but as something to receive. Notice where God is stitching together what felt frayed. Let peace settle into your breath, your decisions, your conversations. Let Shalom be the blessing you carry into every space you enter.
