Joy in God’s Presence

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy.” (Psalm 16:11)

This is the third week of Advent. The theme is JOY, which follows HOPE and PEACE. Joy is not a fleeting feeling but a deep assurance of God’s presence. Advent reminds us that Christ came near, and His nearness brings delight. Joy is found not in circumstances but in communion with Him.

What Joy Is 
•    Joy is the fullness of God’s presence.
•    Joy is the assurance that we are never alone.
•    Joy is the delight of walking in His light.

What Joy Is Not
•    Joy is not dependent on material possessions.
•    Joy is not the absence of trials.
•    Joy is not shallow happiness that fades with time.

Call to Action
Spend time today in quiet prayer, inviting God’s presence to fill you with joy.

•    May you discover joy in the silence of God’s presence.
•    May your heart overflow with delight that cannot be shaken.
•    May His nearness be your joy.
