Eternal Peace

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.” (John 14:27)

Advent points us not only to Christ’s birth but also to His return, when perfect peace will reign. Eternal peace is the promise that sustains us while we wait. Advent teaches us to live with anticipation, holding fast to the perfect peace that is our destiny in Christ.

What It Is
Eternal peace is a promise from God for those who trust in Him. Eternal peace refers to an everlasting state of perfect harmony and tranquility that surpasses human understanding.

What It Is Not
Peace is not temporary or fragile. It is everlasting in Christ. There is nothing man-made about eternal life. It is God’s promise and not man’s. Eternal life is not something that man can give, nor is it something man can take away.

Call for Action
Live with hope today as you wait for Jesus’ return. Let God’s promise of eternal peace strengthen your faith.

May you hold fast to the hope of eternal peace. May you rejoice in Christ’s coming kingdom. May you say with confidence, “Come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20).

Pray This Prayer
Lord, thank You for the promise of eternal peace. Help me live with anticipation, rejoicing in the assurance of Your kingdom. Let the vision of eternal peace shape my choices, and may my heart sing with joy as I await Your return. Amen
