Under An Open Heaven

Under An Open Heaven

“And see if I will not throw open the windows of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10)
When I posted a Praise report on two days ago, a person responded that I am “under an open heaven.” That inspired me to write this devotional based on that expression. Thanks, Roz, for reading and commenting on my Praise Report with those profound words.

Being under an open heaven reminds me of Malachi’s promise when he said, “God will throw open the windows of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” That is a promise of overflowing blessings based on being obedient to God’s words in all parts of the Bible, even though Malachi spoke specifically about tithes and offerings.

When we are obedient, heaven responds with a downpour of blessings. However, it does not apply to anyone who is not obedient. A person who deposits nothing into the Kingdom of God and expects an abundance of God’s blessings is like standing before a vending machine expecting a candy bar to pop out without having put in the correct coins.

Obedience is a sure way to stand under an open heaven to receive God’s abundant blessings. Selah!
