Peace in the World
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
Advent reminds us that Christ is the Prince of Peace, and we are called to reflect Him in the world. Advent stretches our vision beyond our own lives to the world God loves. The angels announced “peace on earth” at Christ’s birth, and that proclamation still echoes today.
Advent calls us to be peacemakers, to carry light into dark places, and to live as children of God who reflect His kingdom on earth.
What It Is
Peace is working toward justice, compassion, and unity in our communities. Peace in the world is active, requiring us to embody Christ’s compassion and justice.
What It Is Not
Peace in the world is not passive. It is not indifference to suffering or silence in the face of wrong.
Call for Action
Be a peacemaker today—support someone in need, speak truth with love, or pray for peace in troubled places.
“May You” Blessings
May you shine as a child of God, carrying peace into the world. May your compassion be a light in darkness and a balm for the weary. May your life ripple outward, blessing the world with Christ’s peace.
Pray This Prayer
Lord, let Your peace flow through me to bless the world around me. Amen.
